Added to this the duo have a remarkable story of how they got together both musically and personally. With a voice reminiscent of such vocal heavyweights as Jewel, Stevie Nicks, Annie Lennox and Tori Amos, 22-year old Anni Ernst Hamer is a vocalist and lyricist out of the top drawer. She is equally at home on reflective love songs such as 'All I Need', uplifting pop/rockers like the albums opening track 'Old Fashioned Love Song' and seething guitar-heavy songs like 'She's Broken' and 'You're Going Down'. Her voice draws you in with it's beauty and versatility and refuses to let you go until each song is over. Her lyrical ability can only be described as a gift.

The other half of Soulpower, Liam Hamer, is responsible for playing every single instrument on the album as well as recording, mixing and mastering it. His incredible musical ability is on show throughout the album with particular highlights being his vicious guitar-assault on 'She's Broken' and his infectious piano-playing on 'Gone So Long' the albums epic track 10 and the beautiful string-laden story about the state of the world today 'Somewhere In The World'.
