New "Alchemy of Colour" Exhibition showcases stunning work by Brazilian artist New Brazilian artist launches simultaneous onine and real life exhibitions. Great interest via combined media and global sales generated. Rugby, UK (PRWEB) May 3, 2004---A new exhibition by a Brazilian artist has grabbed attention in local and international circles. The launch of the exhibition called The Alchemy of Colour" in Rugby was timed to coincide with the release of its online version, generating unexpected results.
During the exhibition gallery preview interest in many works was intense, and online interest has shot up, with sales to South and North America.
Alessa Vasco, a Brazilian artist resident in the United Kingdom, has sold many works of art in her home country, and has been exported to Chile, Spain and other countries in Latin America. But her wish to reach a wider audience came closer to reality when she moved to England in 2002, culminating in a double-header virtual and real-world exhibition.
Her website, www.alessavasco.com, has seen a massive rise in hits, generating sales to the USA and, ironically, back in her home country, Brazil. Background work to divulge Alessas art on other art portals such as Absolute Arts prior to her own site launch paid dividends as it has garnered subsequent plaudits. Visitors have come from all round the globe, from the U.S. to Israel, New Zealand to Iran.
Her choice of a local gallery, the Floor One Gallery in Rugby, UK, was mainly seen as a means of supporting the local arts community and generating local interest in her new home town, but Alessa has been inundated with enquiries from prospective purchasers even before the doors officially opened. Unable to reserve works of art, disappointed visitors to the exhibition, which was still receiving its finishing touches yesterday afternoon, vowed to return today to secure the works they have set their hearts on.
Visitors have said that the area has yet to see such a wonderful range of work on show. One Danish visitor was particularly enamoured by the vivid use of colour and form. Alessa Vasco, the artist, said: My art is based on form, perspective and texture, but the main thrust of my work is based on colour. I choose and create my own colours, nad this is clearly what has attracted so much attention".
Alessas exhibition will be running at the Floor One Gallery at the Rugby Art Gallery and Museum from April 28th to May 10th, and her online exhibition can be viewed at www.alessavasco.com. For additional information contact the artist at alessavasco@mandic.com.br
