The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AMAA) Brings First M&A Credential to Chicago June 21-24 The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AMAA) has developed a new merger & acquisition training and certification program for qualified, independent professionals who are valuation, advisory, and transaction experts. CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) May 5, 2004 --- The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AMAA) has developed a new merger & acquisition training and certification program for qualified, independent professionals who are valuation, advisory, and transaction experts.
This new professional credential, Certified in Mergers & Acquisitions (CM&A), provides a first of its kind standard of professional competency for corporate financial advisors serving the planning and transaction needs of private business owners in the middle market. The CM&A credentialing program will be held June 21-24 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago, IL.
The innovative program is designed to address the many issues of selling private companies with a transaction value less than $100MM. The presenters are experienced CPAs, dealmakers, transaction attorneys and lenders. The CM&A professional credential serves as an essential standard of excellence and competency for the middle market corporate financial advisory.
The CM&A advanced credential differs from other credentials in that it requires candidates to have a broad and interdisciplinary portfolio of business knowledge and functional expertise. While such professionals are not expected to be an expert in every content area, they offer an understanding of concepts, practices, implications and inter-relationships among multiple business disciplines.
The CM&A certification program builds on a candidate's existing skills and provides a 'gold standard' to help business clients select the best advisor. Moreover, AMAA has established extremely high professional and ethical requirements insuring the ongoing integrity of the CM&A designation.
The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AMAA) was formed in 1999 to bring together CPAs, attorneys and other experienced financial advisors who serve as intermediaries, conduct valuations, coordinate financing and provide a range of other business advisory services essential to M&A transactions. Since then, AMAA members have created a network of more than 250 professional services firms who draw on their combined transactional expertise to better serve the special needs of their middle market clients worldwide. Our primary goals are to help members improve their level of knowledge, give them access to the tools to help them better market and deliver their services, and provide them with a network of knowledgeable professionals with whom they can share information and resource. ###
