Nationwide Prayer Meeting by Conference Call

The public is invited to participate in a weekly prayer meeting in a free conference call each Wednesday. Prayer requests are accepted and pastors will be on the call to assist. Topics often include national and local concerns.

WASHINGTON (PRWEB) May 6 2004 -- The same people who have organized the National Congressional Prayer Conference in Washington, D.C. are now asking citizens across the nation to join them in a free conference call to pray for a troubled nation.

We would like to invite people of all ages and walks of life to join us in prayer each Wednesday. Call in and talk to us about your concerns, or just listen. We will pray together and seek Gods healing hand for a troubled nation," explained organizer Pastor Wiley Drake, a Baptist minister from Buena Park, Calif.

Drake is joined on the call by U.S. Army Chaplin Mark Benz in Washington, D.C.

I am on the west coast, he is on the east coast, and as we are joined by the people of our nation we shall all be united and connected to heaven through prayer," said Drake.

He quoted from the Bible: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20)

There is no cost to participate, other than the cost of making a normal long-distance call. Those who wish to participate, or just listen should call on any Wednesday to (603) 488-0702 and use access code 619110. The call takes place at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Prayer requests may be sent to telephonicprayer@hotmail.com.

Drake is also the host of a call-in talk show that is broadcast on local stations and over the Internet at http://www.CrusadeRadio.com Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

He also broadcasts a separate show every Wednesday on WRSB 1310 AM Rochester/Canandaigua, N.Y. and WASB 1590 AM Rochester/Brockport, N.Y. at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

Drake often travels to broadcast from events of interest to his listeners. On Tuesday, May 11 he will broadcast live from the International Christian Prayer Breakfast to Honor Israel and Pray for The Peace Of Jerusalem" at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn.

Drake is willing to attend important events and broadcast his show from that event. Organizers should contact Drake to make arrangements through his California office 1-714-865-8132.
