HARDYS to Introduce New Combination" Fragrances to US Market

Fragrances that have proved a huge hit in the UK soon to be available across America

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 9, 2004 -- Last fall, English body and bath company HARDYS developed a small collection of new fragrances exclusively for Britains John Lewis Partnership, one of the countrys leading department store groups. The new fragrances proved so popular that HARDYS is about to bring them over to America. They will be integrated into HARDYS Botanical Collection" of floral-scented body and bath products that was launched in the US at the end of 2002.

The three new combination" fragrances coming stateside are Lily & Rose Petal, Mandarin & Amber, and Lavender & Sage. These will be available this month in Hand and Body Cream, and later in the summer will be introduced in Bath and Shower Gel, Bath and Body Essence (a distinctly European concept but already reinventing the bathing habits of its American devotees), scented candles and a new Gift Box set.

Founder and creator Caroline Hardy describes Lily & Rose Petal as a delicate blending of the perfume of huge white lilies with the heady aroma of full blown pink English roses." A hint of grass and flower stalks prevents the fragrance from becoming cloying, and makes it light and not too sweet. The second new fragrance, Mandarin & Amber, blends the richness of amber with the sharp but refreshing notes of mandarin oranges, making it the quintessential summer scent. Caroline Hardy sees it as the perfect fragrance for the end of a long hot day in the sun." The new Lavender & Sage fragrance combines two classic scents in a rendition that has none of the sickly overtones found in many modern versions. True to the essential oil of lavender, and with dusty notes of sage, this fragrance is dry and calming, and has all the natural restorative properties associated with lavender.

The hand and body cream will retail for around $30 for a 180g jar (appx 6.4 oz); Bath and Shower Gels appx $18 for 200 ml (6.8 fl oz), Body Essences $12 for 60 ml (2.3 fl oz) or $26 for 225 ml (7.6 fl oz), and Candles for $30 each.
