Olympic Artist Celebrates Thirty Year Anniversary The Michael J Wolf Fine Arts Gallery will host Olympic/Presidential Artist, thom madro for a one-man show. The event commemorates the 30th anniversary of madro's first one-man show held in San Diego in May of 1974. (PRWEB) May 13, 2004 -- The Michael J Wolf Fine Arts Gallery will host Olympic/Presidential Artist thom madro for a one-man show. The event commemorates the 30th anniversary of madros first one-man show held in San Diego in May of 1974. The artists work has been exhibited coast to coast in the ensuing years. The opening reception for the artist is on May 21st, 2004 from 6:00pm -- 9:00pm and the public is encouraged to attend. The show runs through June 5th, 2004.
Madro has painted for two Presidents and his collector list reads like a Whos Who of the political and entertainment world. He was the artist at the Bud World Party at the most recent Olympic games in Salt Lake City.
Thom was raised primarily in San Diego where his father, Joe Madro, was a coach for the Charger Football team from 1960 -- 1972. madro graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Fine Art in 1974. He was the first undergraduate ever to have a school-sponsored one-man show at the University.
The artist paints a wide variety of subjects and this show will feature his latest work depicting wild animals. Proceeds from a silent auction of one of madros originals will be donated to the Sea World/Busch Gardens Conservation Fund.
