BodyBilt Ergonomic Chairs Obtain "Green" Certification

ErgoGenesis, LLC, manufacturer of BodyBilt ergonomic chairs, obtained Green certification from MAS of Atlanta, Georgia and announced sustainability practices. ErgoGenesis provides advanced ergonomics advice and products.

Navsaota, Texas (PRWEB) August 28, 2008 -- ErgoGenesis LLC, manufacturer of the BodyBilt ergonomic chair (http://www.ergogenesis.com), announced it has qualified for "Green" certification for the BodyBilt line of ergonomic chairs from the national testing firm Materials Analytical Services of Atlanta, Georgia. As part of the Green certification process, BodyBilt ergonomic chairs were tested and found to meet the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA) X7.1 performance standard (bifma.com).

Commenting on the certification, Mark McMillan, President and CEO of ErgoGenesis, LLC stated, "The Green Certification is recognition of our long standing practice to maintain 'Green' leadership in the ergonomic office furniture industry."

McMillan continued, "ErgoGenesis was the first Ergonomic chair (http://www.ergo4me.com) manufacturer to use soy-based BioFoam™ (bioh.com), and given the positive results, every BodyBilt ergonomic office chair (http://www.ergo4me.com) is now made with soy-based BioFoam. This helps to reduce the amount of petroleum products used to build every BodyBilt ergonomic chair."

Other examples of "Green" initiatives used by ErgoGenesis include the environmentally friendly "GreenShield™" fabric protection (greenshieldfinish.com), an innovative product that employs advanced nanotechnology in the fabric protection applied to certain fabrics on the BodyBilt ergonomic chair.

Bernie Lynch, national sales manager for ErgoGenesis, stated "ErgoGenesis has always strived to be a leader in sustainable products and manufacturing processes, and I keep hearing from our customers that they are also concerned about environmental sustainability. We are constantly improving our environmental practices and plan to announce additional sustainability efforts in the near future."
