Video Symphony Awarded as #1 Avid Authorized Education Center Worldwide It was a big event for Video Symphony: the annual get-together for Avid Education Centers at the recent National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in Las Vegas. "The award for 'Number One Avid Authorized Education Center Worldwide for 2003' goes to Video Symphony." Burbank (PRWEB) May 21, 2004 -- Number one? Worldwide? That's something to report.
It was a big event for Video Symphony: the annual get-together for Avid Education Centers at the recent National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in Las Vegas. As with Oscars and Emmys, the most significant award was last to be announced:
"The award for 'Number One Avid Authorized Education Center Worldwide for 2003' goes to Video Symphony."
This award attests that Video Symphony trained more Avid editors than any other Avid-authorized educational facility in the world during 2003. Bud Samiljan, director of Avid Educational Services, made the presentation.
Video Symphony's president, Mike Flanagan, said, "First of alI, I want to thank Avid for this honor and recognition. Our close association with Avid has flourished throughout this past decade of phenomenal development in digital editing technology."
Avid's legendary Media Composer, Film Composer and Symphony systems remain the overwhelming choice for feature film and television post-production.
The Hollywood post-production industry also regards Video Symphony as a preeminent training resource. Hundreds of industry editors and artists have upgraded skills in our classrooms. Hundreds of young students have launched industry careers by way of Video Symphony's intensive Avid Certificate Programs.
Video Symphony is also among the first Authorized Training Centers to offer the new Avid Certified Operator Exam for Avid Media Composer.
"I have many people to thank," Flanagan continued. "Our inspiring instructors, our dedicated staff, and all our graduates who have spread Video Symphony's reputation by proving themselves in the editing suite."
"The 'worldwide' aspect has genuine meaning, too," Flanagan continued, "Now that we are fully accredited, international students can obtain visas to take our courses. We receive inquiries daily from all around the globe.
"We're proud of ourselves, and we're proud of Avid," Flanagan concluded. "We're confident that the upcoming decade of close association will be as exciting as the first."
