VisualPulse Web Edition continuously gathers and summarizes latency and availability data from multiple sources, including ping, HTTP, SNMP, and TCP. With the addition of temperature reporting from Sensatronics IT Monitor devices, VisualPulse v4 offers administrators easy access to real-time critical IT environment status. The web interface provides simplified access and administration via a web browser, and a variety of standard reports provide real-time and historical reporting of temperature and device availability. Global and individual threshold values may be easily configured for automated alerting of potential problems, so that administrators can resolve issues before they adversely affect application service delivery or result in costly downtime and repairs.
Sensatronics environmental monitoring offers a new dimension to Visualware customers. The capability of keeping business or mission critical systems delivering value by avoiding environmental issues is now a reality. The Sensatronics products monitor temperature, relative humidity, and wetness. Cryogenics monitoring is addressed with cold monitoring capabilities to -139°F. Sensatronics environmental monitoring reports Server CPU temperatures, Server Room temperatures, Network and Telecommunications product temperatures as well as the HVAC systems that support the facilities. New capabilities for monitoring Cryogenics laboratories to -139°F are included with VisualPulse Web Edition v4.
Julian Palmer, Visualwares chief marketing officer, said Customers cannot achieve their goal of six sigma quality unless they address critical environmental indicators such as the operating temperature of server rooms and critical IT devices.
