inData Corporation Releases DepoView DVD

New patent-pending technology enables viewing video depositions on a DVD player or PC.

Gilbert, AZ (PRWEB) September 3, 2008 -- inData Corporation, the developer of popular TrialDirector® software, has released a new product called DepoView® DVD. DepoView DVD (http://www.indatacorp.com/Products/Video/depoViewDVD.aspx) allows attorneys and litigation professionals to view video depositions and associated transcripts on a standard DVD player or personal computer.

Utilizing patent-pending technology, DepoView DVD is the only product that displays the transcript in addition to video footage on DVD, enabling attorneys to review transcripts on a television when a computer isn't readily available. When played on a standard DVD player, DepoView DVD provides three options: (1) review the video deposition; (2) read the entire transcript, or (3) jump directly to a selected page in the transcript or video.

DepoView DVD supports MPEG-1 and MPEG-2/VOB video files, the choice of which is at the user's discretion. MPEG-1 files remain the most common file format accepted by most litigation support software products, while MPEG-2 files continue to grow in popularity due to the format's high resolution. A user can easily import the video files from a DepoView DVD to other litigation support applications, such as inData TrialDirector®, CT Summation®, LiveNote® and more.

Each DepoView DVD comes with a complimentary download of DepoView software for viewing and editing the video on a personal computer. Using DepoView software, attorneys and legal professionals can search for keywords in the transcript, create video clips for trial, print condensed transcripts, send selected segments to Microsoft PowerPoint, and more.

"DepoView DVD is revolutionary in that it gives lawyers unprecedented options for reviewing their depositions," said Derek Miller, CEO and President of inData Corporation. "They can review video depositions and transcripts right on a television set using a standard DVD player. This can be incredibly convenient when traveling, reviewing a case at home, or in any situation when a computer is unavailable. Plus, it's so easy to use…everyone knows how to use a DVD player."

Litigation professionals can obtain video depositions in the DepoView DVD format from videographers, court reporters, or anyone using inData's TimeCoder® Pro software.
