Turbulence and Calibrate Strike Back New Album by Rap Duo Turbulence and Calibrate Nears Completion (PRWEB) May 23 2004--The names Turbulence and Calibrate should be instantly familiar to anyone who followed independent rap in the mid 90's. With their biting wit and catchy beats, the two won a huge cult following despite refusing to sign to a major label. Their new album, entitled Back From the Dead, is due September 2004. It represents a return to form for the group, which has spent the last five years doing, well, no one really knows what.
In 1998, after three EPs, one full length album and a successful US tour, Turbulence and Calibrate disappeared on what seemed like the brink of international stardom. Rumors of Turbulences death flooded the internet. These rumors were never confirmed nor denied until tickets were suddenly announced for a new tour of small clubs across the country in the summer of 2003.
Those fans lucky enough to get tickets for the 2003 tour were treated to new material from the upcoming Turbulence and Calibrate full length record. The duo held interviews denying all allegations of a hiatus, and held to the claim that the previous five years were filled with nothing but hard work and commitment to their music.
Turbulence and Calibrate are currently finishing up work on their second full length album. Featuring cameos from underground darlings Bluebeard, Vitamin Z, and Doublecross, the album has aquired a deafening amount of industry buzz. The songs are said to be more rich and organic than their earlier work, lyrically complex and instantly catchy. Songs and samples have been posted on the group's website, http://www.turbncali.com where you can keep up with the latest news regarding the album's progress.
