Highwall Deploys Rogue Detection System for Sarasota Memorial Hospital

One of the Largest Hospitals in Florida deploys Highwall for Wireless Security

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) May 24, 2004 -- Highwall Technologies announced the deployment of its Rogue Detection System at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, an 828-bed regional medical center, is the second-largest acute care public hospital in Florida. Due to the wide spread use of wireless for Patient Care in the Hospital, Rogue Access Points and Clients were a concern.

"We were looking for a solution that would gives us 100% coverage of our buildings, and would tie into our existing network management system. The only product we found on the market that provided high-range capabilities and integration into our existing software was Highwall", said Scott Stone, Security Manager for Sarasota Memorial.

"We are excited to be working with a future-thinking health care provider like Sarasota Memorial. We believe Health Care faces a serious challenge in protecting their information and networks from unauthorized wireless devices, and we hope to replicate the success at SMH into other providers." said Rich Swier, CEO of Highwall Technologies.
