PHILADELPHIA, PA (PRWEB) May 25, 2004 --- For The Heroes", a song on the recently released We The People" CD Album from Joseph F.M. Pokorny and RyKy Records (tm), pays tribute to unsung heroes", those who put their lives on the line", and individuals who unselfishly perform heroic feats in an effort to help others.

In time for Memorial Day, the songs lyrics and an introductory soundclip are now being offered in a freely-downloadable .pdf 'For The Heroes Lyrics Songbook" from: http://www.LyricSongbooks.com/ForTheHeroes.pdf . The lyrics are also available online at: http://www.ForTheHeroes.com .

Written, composed, and performed by Pokorny, with Don McCarty on guitar, For The Heroes" is an emotionally touching acknowledgement and remembrance of those who perform heroically -- occupationally or humanistically -- 'Regardless the cost, No matter place or time for those in need of their help.

'For The Heroes honors those who deserve our respect and admiration, yet are too often unrecognized or too soon forgotten," according to Neal R. Voron, president of Voron Communications and co-founder of RyKy Records, the firms music label.

Pokorny, 60, who lost many Father Judge High School (Philadelphia, PA) classmates and friends in the Vietnam War, was profoundly touched by the tragedies of September 11th, 2001 and the subsequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In writing For The Heroes", he was inspired by the courageous and heroic efforts of the many -- often unrecognized or unknown -- men and women who gave of themselves for the benefit of others.

As Pokornys lyrics gently, yet boldly, sing: 'Like angels, they are watching. Theyre there, beside us, always. Their courage gives us strength to go on. Their love is a song in my heart!

Pokorny has written over 800 songs and 15 musicals and cantatas in the last 25 years. Previously released songs from Pokorny include: "Dream The American Dream", "We Stand United", "Father", "Love Is", Maybe Tomorrow", and many others.
