A Woman's Touch in a Men's World. What makes a woman decide to start a business in a sector dominated by men? Simple, no matter how masculine a mens world is, it still needs a womans touch.

Motorbikes have always been associated with men with the womans place being in the pillion seat, with the only requests being: Lean with the bike and dont bang your crash helmet on mine every time I hit the breaks".

(PRWEB) May 27, 2004 -- Ive always been passionate about motorbikes and at the time I didnt mind being taken around on any bike, actually I was so happy to sit back and enjoy the smell, speed, wind and all the other nice feelings that you only get when you are on a motorbike until I got a bit older and sitting there just wasnt good enough anymore.

Well they say that when you start getting older you start to settle down...not me, I needed to be in control, so the time came for me to take my test and I never looked back, or shall I say never sat in the back anymore.

Now that we were mixing with the bikers", my husband Paul and I, with our two girls had lots of friends riders and when a special occasion required a gift you could guarantee to find a novelty or present related to any sport but motorcycling.

One very sunny day at Donnington race track while watching moto GP I had this illuminating vision"...what if the 125.000 people standing here had a place to go when they need to buy a gift related to the motorcycling world?

Why do people consider a gift related to the motorcycling world a spare part for a bike or some leather clothes?

What if I put together a large selection of gift and novelties never seen before that will appeal to any kind of biker?

Thats where the womans touch comes in, a man wont be looking for a mug with his favourite motorbike and a personalize message, or an alarm clock that makes engine sounds when it rings, a chocolate motorbike or a replica model of their pride and joy, but collect it all, present it in the same place and they will go mad, they will have to have their motorbike made of wood or a picture of their first track day printed on a bar of chocolate and anything else with a motorbike on it.

Life would be so much easier for the buying partner as well, instead of the usual grunted thanks" they will finally get the wow, thank you, and where did you get this from?" followed by a big grin.

That is how and why I decided to start a business in a sector dominated by man and created www.bikersbits.com.

At the end of the day men might be faster, bigger, tougher but they always need a womans touch to make them melt and smile.
