Packers Shareholder Set To Offer Brett Favre A Book Deal After Football Great Retires

Brio extends Favre book deal and offers to donate proceeds to Deanna Favre Hope Foundation

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 10, 2008 - Brett Favre is one of the NFL's most winning quarterbacks. He has been honored as MVP three times, had 10 postseason appearances, six division wins, two Super Bowl appearances, and won a world championship in Super Bowl XXXI. So why did the Green Bay Packers let him go?

BRIO wants to know the truth behind the Favre trade to the New York Jets and they are prepared to offer him a six-figure book deal to tell his side of the story.

"Brett Favre deserves to have his voice heard," said Green Bay Packer shareholder and BRIO co-owner John Marino. "He played brilliant football for Green Bay and they let him go. The entire state of Wisconsin is asking why."

Marino offered Favre the deal in July and Favre's management said he was not interested in writing a book until he retires. BRIO is planning to wait until Favre retires and then extend him the offer.

"I want the truth to come out," said Marino. "Favre is an icon, a living legend, and deserves respect from the Packer administration, his team, his fans, and the state of Wisconsin."

The Favre saga continues.
