MaintSmart Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) Version 3.0 for SQL Server 2000 Released MaintSmart Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) version 3.0 for SQL Server 2000 released. Perfect for equipment maintenance in manufacturing, universities, property management, fleet maintenance or anywhere equipment maintenance is needed. Implements web-enabled work request interface. (PRWEB) June 8, 2004--This version of MaintSmart uses a SQL Server backend database. MaintSmart 3.0 contains all of the powerful features enjoyed by our many users worldwide and more. MaintSmart 3.0 added a web-enabled work request and customer satisfaction survey.
MaintSmart provides a simple yet very powerful interface for work orders, purchasing, inventory, skills, failure data collection and much more. MaintSmart handles PMs as a separate function or as a work order, per se. MaintSmart analyzes work orders, PMs, equipment failure, skills, inventory, parts usage and purchasing then reports in three different ways: Excel, Crystal Reports 8.5 or data grid printing. Data grids may be saved in Excel, HTML (web Page) or as simple text. Save, print or email reports directly from MaintSmart as Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Excel, Lotus Notes or countless other formats.
MaintSmart implements ‘meters’ in a distinctive way. Meters contain up to six different measurements each (for example: change oil every 6 months or 6000 miles would be two measurements) and are updated manually or linked to DDE or OPC compliant server software. This feature enables the system to automatically create work orders based upon running conditions within an equipment item (reads PLC address data). Meters could also be linked to MaintSmart from an Excel spreadsheet if needed. MaintSmart contains a work order invoicing system too. This system even contains a parts mark-up and/or discount feature that automatically uses adjusted prices on invoices for billing or charge-back purposes.
MaintSmart is noted as being the only CMMS available that uses reliability analysis to guide the user towards optimized preventive maintenance task lists. Adjusting PM task lists based upon MTBF (average time between failures) for particular failure causes is a two mouse-click process that takes seconds and provides results based upon real data. Additionally MaintSmart uses military standard reliability analysis methods (AMSAA) to help the user determine if their maintenance efforts are improving reliability and guide the user towards continuous improvement.
MaintSmart CMMS is widely used both in the USA and internationally as a network Windows application. MaintSmart is currently benefiting manufacturing plants, oil fields, electrical utilities, public works, property management, United States military, major universities, the hospitality industry and is appropriate just about anywhere equipment is maintained.
No other programs are needed to run MaintSmart, as it is fully self-contained (version 3.0 requires SQL Server 2000+). There are no extra modules to buy or subscriptions to pay for. Unlimited email support for life is free with extended support available. A fully functional demo (47.9 MB Access version) is available: http://www.maintsmart.com/MaintSmart_Demo.exe (or call/email for Enterprise version demo download link). The Access version of MaintSmart CMMS implements the Microsoft Agent as an animated tutor greatly reducing the time it takes to learn how to benefit from the program.
