(PRWEB) June 9, 2004 -- The success of Herndon L. Davis' spiritual empowerment book, "Black, Gay & Christian" has once again gained national attention, this time on PBS. Tony Brown's Journal, the longest-running series on PBS, which is also an African-American oriented program, will be airing an interview with Mr. Davis where he discusses his book, along with issues dealing with spirituality, homosexuality and the politics which surround it within the African-American community.

"It's a pretty diverse interview" says Davis. "We discuss everything from the DL situation to Leviticus all in one interview. Mr. Brown is very aware and astute of the issues that exist. In fact I feel that the interview will serve to foster a much badly needed dialogue within the entire community."

The interview titled, "On the Down Low in the Black Church" will air from June 11 to June 17 on local PBS stations across the country. Consult local listing for airdates. The book, Black, Gay & Christian" is available for purchase online at http://blackgaychristian.com. It is also available at select bookstores across the country in Chicago, Atlanta, LA, Dallas, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Boston and others.

Black, Gay & Christian" is a 16 chapter, gay/lesbian affirming, biblically based, spiritual empowerment tool. It provides spiritual direction, motivational support and Christ-centered guidance to practicing Black Gay/Lesbians on how to live proud and fully committed, joy-filled, prosperous, and blessed lives as gay/lesbian Christians without changing their orientation or behavior.
