HelixoMetry/FractoGene Founder Andras Pellionisz and Simons Haplomics Founder Malcolm Simons publish a review article on a coming shift, a "Big One", of Post Gene Genomics towards Information Technology Non (primary) Coding DNA (formerly "Junk DNA"; see http://www.junkdna.com and http://www.simonsjunkdna.com ),has became a fulcrum of interest and investment in "Post Gene Genomics". A joint paper by Pellionisz and Simons will appear in a widely subscribed magazine. Silicon Valley, USA (PRWEB) June 12, 2004 -- Non (primary) Coding DNA (formerly "junk DNA" (see references at junkdna.com http://www.junkdna.com, and groundbreaking work at simonsjunkdna.com http://www.simonsjunkdna.com), after a long period of "incubation", is emerging into the forefront of "Post Gene Genomics".
The two authors, founders of two Companies devoted to making "junk DNA" their businesses, have agreed to write a review article to a widely-subscribed magazine. The review surveys the "landscape", identifies future directions for research, indicates the need for algorithmic analysis of "non (primary) coding DNA" structure, and proposes that such analysis is likely to introduce major changes in Information Technology, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology.
The authors point out that the outcome of the shift of Post Gene Genomics towards Information Technology will greatly affect industries, and influence the relative competitiveness of various global regions.
The authors each have over a hundred publications, have issued US patent(s) based on their R&D activities, and have recently founded their own Companies towards delivering genomic applications of general benefit.
Following publication of the View, it will be available on the Internet (see the "Professional Page" of authors Simons http://www.simonsjunkdna.com and Pellionisz http://www.usa-siliconvalley.com/inst/pellionisz).
