Non-profit to Host the Indiana Pacers in Charity Luncheon

The Indy Sports Foundation will host the Indiana Pacers Tip-Off Luncheon at the Columbia Club in downtown Indianapolis on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 11:30am - 1:00pm. Indiana Pacers General Manager, David Morway, will be the featured speaker.

Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) September 17, 2008 -- The Indy Sports Foundation will host the Indiana Pacers Tip-Off Luncheon at the Columbia Club on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 11:30am - 1:00pm. Proceeds of the event will benefit amateur youth organizations. Indiana Pacers General Manager, David Morway, will be the featured speaker. The charity luncheon event is open to the public and tickets are on sale for $35 on-line at the Indy Sports Foundation Website (http://www.indysportsfoundation.com).

David Morway will give attendees an inside look at the day-to-day operations of a NBA franchise and talk about the 2008-2009 Indiana Pacers as they get set for preseason camp. Former Pacers legends will be on hand and attendees will have a chance to win Pacers memorabilia. The event will be emceed by former Indiana University basketball star and Pacers Director of Communications, Quinn Buckner.

About the Indy Sports Foundation

The Indy Sports Foundation was formed in 1984 at the Indianapolis Athletic Club as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. The Foundation's mission is to promote amateur athletics and to provide assistance to persons and organizations engaged in such activities. The Foundation also hosts the Old Oaken Bucket Luncheon set for November 20, 2008 and the Salute to the Indianapolis Indians luncheon set for April of 2009. The Foundation is most noted for organizing the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Indianapolis.
