M&A Firm AdMedia Partners Appoints Michael Klingensmith as Managing Director Specializing in Media and Publishing

Former Time Inc. Executive Joins Merger and Acquisition Advisors as M&A Deals by Media Companies and Magazine Publishers Continue Despite Economic Slowdown

Klingensmith as a Managing Director specializing in media and publishing. The former Time Inc. senior executive is joining AdMedia's merger and acquisition team as M&A deals by media companies and magazine publishers continue despite the economic slowdown in 2008.

Most recently, Mr. Klingensmith was Executive Vice President of Time Inc., managing corporate groups including Strategic Planning, the Law Department, IT, Production and Administrative Services. In addition he oversaw or sat on the boards of most of Time Inc.'s acquisitions and investments including American Express Publishing, Grupo Editorial Expansión and Synapse.

In Mr. Klingensmith's 31-year career at Time Inc., he was also the founding Publisher and President of Entertainment Weekly, and was President of Sports Illustrated where, under his leadership, the brand broadened its scope in print, television and the web. While at SI he was responsible for acquiring and overseeing Time4Media. Before that he served as chief financial officer and senior vice president of what was then the Time Inc. Magazine Company, general manager of TIME worldwide, circulation director at four different magazines and as Time's group circulation director.

Mr. Klingensmith is a trustee of the University of Chicago and a board member of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR) and the YMCA of Greater New York. He is also the immediate past Vice-Chairman of the Magazine Publishers of America.

Mr. Klingensmith holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
