NYC Rock Band Revelation Theory Co-Headlines Prom Night 6

NYC Band Revelation Theory will co-headline a benefit show in Levittown, NY with proceeds going to the National Pemphigus Foundation

NEW YORK (PRWEB) June 21, 2004 -- NYC Rock Band Revelation Theory will bring their potent blend of grungy guitars, powerful vocals, distinctive harmonies, and ear pleasing melodies to the Ultra Sound Lounge on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at 3:00 PM as part of Prom Night 6, an annual theme concert/charity event with proceeds going to the National Pemphigus Foundation.

First organized in 1998 by Jason Alvino (Heart Machine) and Mike Kerr (The Pistol Wips), the Prom Night shows simply started out as an excuse for their two bands to play together. However, in just a few short years, it's escalated into a major annual event headlined by some of the best high-profile acts with this year being no exception. Revelation Theory, who is co-headlining the event with Vaeda, has played over fifty shows in the tri-state area throughout the past year, including one northeast regional tour, college festivals, and many live on-air acoustic shows. Revelation Theory was also chosen be to a part of the AMP Energy Drink 6-Pack National College Radio Promotion and has received various endorsements from companies such as Amp Energy Drink, Jagermeister, and Level 27 clothing

Prom Night 6, which will be held at Ultra Sound Lounge at Metasin in Levittown, NY (Long Island) will be decorated like a high-school prom, complete with balloons and streamers. The twist is that it will mimic '80's horror movies like "Prom Night" and "Carrie" as well as innocent, sentimental old favorites such as "Grease" and "Happy Days". Everyone is invited to dress up in their prom duds, a King and Queen ceremony will be held, and prizes will be awarded. There will also will be dance contests, a kissing booth, and an outdoor "flea market" style area for vendors selling independent music and clothing, crafts, and merchandise tables for bands. Other bands at this event include: The Pistol Wips, The Confidentials, Heart Machine, Stars in December, The Return, Dan Deacon, Rockbot (VA), Monroe Drowning, Pretty Polly, Bricks for Shoulders, Middle Ground, and Entity.

Proceeds from Prom Night 6 will go to The National Pemphigus Foundation, a nonprofit organization that informs and supports those afflicted with Pemphigus, a rare, life threatening, auto -immune disease that mainly affects areas of the skin such as mucous membranes and more seriously, internal organs including the esophagus and lungs.
