Solid becomes IBM business partner and expands telecom opportunities with combined carrier-grade data management solution - Features HA Distributed Data Management Platform on IBM eServer BladeCenter T in Service Availability Forum Booth #13828 at SUPERCOMM Solid Information Technology, the first to deliver a next generation Autonomic Data Management Platform, today announced it has become an IBM business partner and will work within the IBM PartnerWorld® for Developers program to further the relationship by offering integrated HA solutions for telecommunications, wireless and networking applications. CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) June 24, 2004 -- At SUPERCOMM this week, Solid and IBM will demonstrate an integrated platform that delivers service continuity on top of redundant hardware. Solid will feature their high-availability database on the IBM eServer BladeCenter T featuring HS20 blades with dual Intel® Xeon processors running Red Hat Linux. This technology demonstration further validates the companies integrated technologies and combined strengths to deliver modular solutions to telecom and network equipment providers. The platform can be used to build mission-critical network application servers integrating voice, data and multimedia.
Solid is often used to protect the data that supports dual controller cards in chassiss used to power cutting-edge, mission-critical network infrastructure applications like VoIP, network switches, media servers and more. Solid can guarantee failover times of a few tens of milliseconds, which makes it a suitable platform on which to build five-nines, carrier-grade systems. Solids ability to self-protect and self-heal brings it firmly in line with IBMs Autonomic Computing initiative, enabling an OnDemand operating environment. We are happy to show this demonstration as a sign of our deepening relationship with IBM." says Solid CEO and president, Jussi Harvela.
About Solid Autonomic Data Management Platform The Solid Autonomic Data Management Platform is the first example of a data management solution that assures developers the data will take care of itself. The Solid platform supports the creation of applications that are self-configuring, self-healing, self-optimizing and self-protecting.
The Solid Autonomic Data Management Platform is a software suite made up of three tightly coupled components: ·A pair of embeddable, lightweight, high-speed database management systems ·A Carrier-grade high-availability hot-standby option ·Asynchronous data distribution technology
This optimized combination is encapsulated in a low-maintenance framework to create an easy-to-manage platform that can take care of sophisticated data management needs in complex environments like network infrastructure applications running on blade servers. Solid customers realize dramatically reduced cost of development and reduced time to market. Their customers see a compellingly low total cost of ownership (TCO).
About Solid Solid Information Technology Corp. delivers the first next-generation Autonomic Data Management Platform.
