"Syndication Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" Focus of Blue Ribbon Panel during New York's Advertising Week

Event at landmark 21 Club also marked the inaugural session of the Internet Content Syndication Council.

A topic of keen interest to major marketers here and abroad, Internet content syndication was examined by a panel of leading industry executives on September 24 during New York's Advertising Week. The session, "Syndication Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," took place at 3 p.m. at the 21 Club. The panelists were:

  •     Jeffrey Litvack, Global Director, New Media Marketing, Associated Press
  •     Aaron Radin, Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales and Business Development, CBS TV Stations Digital Media Group
  •     Gary Spangler, E-business Leader, DuPont Corporation
  •     Herbert Schlosser, former President and CEO of NBC, co-founder of Arts and Entertainment Network and presently Senior Adviser, Communications Group, Global Investment Banking, Citigroup
  •     David Verklin, CEO, Canoe Ventures LLC
The moderator of the panel was writer, editor and media consultant Bill Gloede. Mr. Gloede is the former editor of MediaWeek, Editor & Publisher and Cable World. He writes a monthly column for MediaWeek and contributes to other publications.

The panel was followed by a networking and cocktails session.

The Internet Content Syndication Council has key representatives from virtually every Internet content provider and active syndicator. Among its goals is to identify and solve problems caused by the vast size and rapid growth of the Internet.
