Shleppers Supports NYC Exhibit for Breast Cancer Awareness

NYC's Top Mover Helps Get the Message Out for Artist Stephanie Engstrom's Groundbreaking New Show

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 26, 2008 -- Shleppers Moving & Storage (http://www.shleppers.com) is proud to announce that it will be donating its services to artist Stephanie Engstrom for her exciting upcoming NYC art exhibit "The Breast Show Ever," supporting Breast Cancer Research and Awareness. The exhibit will take place at the MWstudioNYC (373 Broadway) in Tribeca, New York, from October 2 -- 19, 2008 (from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily), and Shleppers will be responsible for transporting over 100 pieces of Engstrom's delicate and unforgettable art both to and from the exhibit.

The "Breast Show Ever" exhibit showcases a series of mixed media 4 x 8 panels encompassing over 100 plaster "castings" of female breasts as its centerpiece, which were created by Engstrom with the participation of over 75 women from all over the U.S. "Statistically, one out of eight women will get breast cancer," comments artist Stephanie Engstrom. "Cancer runs in my family. As a mother of three, I wanted to create a nonprofit event using my talents to help increase breast cancer research and awareness."

Shleppers chose to take part because Engstrom's art and exhibit were not only powerful, but an original way to raise awareness of breast cancer. The company is proud to be able to assist her efforts for such an important cause as part of its ongoing commitment to the community.

Engstrom contacted Shleppers about her show after her great experiences with the company in a recent residential move. Shleppers immediately offered its services in support of the exhibit, which balances a celebration of the female body with a reminder of its fragility. All proceeds will be donated in support of breast cancer research and awareness (the entry fee is a suggested donation to the Greater New York City Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation).
