Hit songwriter brings concert to Coffee Gallery Backstage in Pasadena--all about relationships, crooked pots and lids.

Pasadena, CA - Harriet Schock is bringing a special show to the Coffee Gallery Backstage. It illustrates how everyone is searching for the perfect lid to his or her pot. But when you think about it, your pot is not so perfect so why are you looking for a perfect lid? Shouldn't you be looking for a lid that has nicks and dings and dents that align with yours so that they don't clank and bang against your pot? The songs of Harriets set will expand upon this premise in unimaginable ways. This is a brand new show for the Coffee Gallery Backstage, where Harriet recorded her highly acclaimed CD, Harriet Schock Live -- From Fairfax To Pasadena.

Harriet wrote the words and music to the Grammy-nominated #1 hit, "Ain't No Way To Treat A Lady" plus many songs for other artists and numerous films and TV shows. Currently she has a PBS series theme song, "Jakers!" playing weekly. Her fourth, fifth and sixth CDs, American Romance," "Rosebud" and Harriet Schock - Live from Fairfax to Pasadena" are in national release, as well as her book, Becoming Remarkable: For Songwriters And Those Who Love Songs. She recently released, Schock Futures, a 19-song CD of her songwriting students' work to rave reviews. She has just had two songs recorded in Nashville by a legendary artist (to be announced after the CD is released). (Visit www.harrietschock.com for a list of her songwriting and recording credits.) As a live performer, Harriet sells out whenever she plays. Accompanied by her bass player, Joe Lamanno, and backup singers, Andrea Ross-Greene and Sally Zito, Harriet plays piano and sings her songs, introducing each one in an involving way which has become her trademark. The show is full of humor and emotional impact.

Opening the show is Singer-songwriter Andrea Ross-Greene who moved to Los Angeles a few years ago from Baltimore, Maryland to pursue good weather and her career in music - in that order. From the Waterfront Inn in Baltimore to Columbia Station in Washington DC to Celebrity Centre International in Hollywood, Andrea has entertained audiences with her well-crafted songs, soulful voice, guitar fingerpicking and wry sense of humor. She is on the board of LA Women in Music and is associate producer of the Schock Futures CD. AND - she sings backup with Harriet Schock.
