LCD and Notebook Manufacturer PRESTIGIO Opens Office in Russia, Appoints General Manager

Prestigio has announced the appointment of Konstantin Smirnov as its General Manager in Russia. The Prestigio company is one of the most dynamic international manufacturers of LCD displays and TVs, mobile computers, and, since recently, plasma TVs.

The newly-appointed General Manager will be responsible for developing all Prestigio products sales channels, including the selection of distributors, creation of authorized dealers network, cooperation with retail chains, as well as efficient brand promotion on the Russian market, and the expansion of the service network.

Mr. Smirnov was born in 1967. In 1990 he graduated from the Moscow Aviation University, Aircraft Construction Dept., after which worked for 3 years at Mikoyan Design Bureau (MIG).

From 1994 till 1999 Mr. Smirnov was employed as Sales Representative at Intel Technologies Inc., and then as Director for Distribution Development in Middle Asia at R&K / Aerton company. From 2002 till 2004 he held a position of Vice-President (Marketing) with Microtest company.
