This event takes place on Monday July 12 at Parris in Boston's Fanueil Hall, a hotspot in the rotunda of the Quincy Market Building. Doors open at 6pm and presentations begin at 6:30pm. Attendees are welcome to stay afterwards for a party to socialize with their peers and ask questions of industry gurus. Anyone interested in Final Cut Pro HD, Apples industry-leading, non-linear editing application is welcome to attend.

Through live demos, attendees can see and discuss the powerful new features of Final Cut Pro HD and Motion, Apples new high-performance motion graphic design and production application. Members of the New England Aquarium's Conservation Department will discuss their real-world HD workflow for the IMAX production "Turtles Rescue and Rehab" and the HD documentary "Teddy Tucker: Adventure is My Life." Both projects used Final Cut Pro HD. Stunning underwater HD visuals will be screened. Attendees will have an opportunity to examine the Amphibico housing used with the Panasonic VariCam for underwater shooting.

Jeff Merritt of Panasonic will discuss the HD-over-FireWire capabilities of the AJ- HD1200A VTR and the revolutionary use of native VariCam compression in FCP HD. With the new, compact AJ-HD1200A, 24 fps or 60 fps progressive-scan material shot on the VariCam can be transferred via the VTR's IEEE 1394 interface directly into FCP HD without generation loss. Users can edit and finish camera-original-quality HD content on G5s and PowerBooks, all without purchasing any additional proprietary hardware.

In addition, Dion Scoppettuolo of Apple will present the Boston debut of Motion and Anne Renehan of Boris FX will show how Boris Continuum Complete 3 integrates into Motion and Final Cut Pro HD.
