Parents Choice Foundation Honors Googolplex Games with Parents Choice Gold Award

Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) July 15, 2004 -- Parents Choice Foundation has recently notified Googolplex Games of Portsmouth, New Hampshire that the game designed and manufactured by inventor David Hallmark has received top gold honors. Honors included a certificate and rights to display the Parents Choice Gold seal award on all packaging and promotional materials.

Parents Choice Foundation awards fewer than 15% every year out of all submitted items. Criteria for judgments include the highest production standards, universal human values and a unique, individual quality that pushes the product a notch above others. Googolplex Games was presented the Gold Award. During their first year, Googolplex Games has sold close to one thousand games through retail stores, catalog placements and online sales. The award winning game is a classic style family board game with 36 individual movable tiles. Players attempt to maneuver through the maze with each turn to get to the opposite corner. No play money, dice, spinner or cards are used and it is suitable for ages 6 to 106.

To be chosen by the Parents Choice Foundation to receive this outstanding award makes all of our efforts worthwhile," said Hallmark, Receiving this award and being honored along with the top toy and game designers in the country is very exciting," he adds.

Googolplex Games in conjunction with The Portsmouth Workshops, a furniture restoration firm owned by Lew Sykes, began production of Googolplex Games in early 2003. Each game is made of high quality maple and pine and takes many hours to hand-craft," Sykes comments, It is not like the usual 'board game. This game is so well-crafted, it can be displayed as a coffee-table item as well as being played by the entire family."

Parents' Choice Foundation, established in 1978, is the nation's oldest not-for-profit evaluator of children's books, videos, toys, audios, computer software, television, and magazines. The Foundations purpose is to search out and recommend to parents products that help kids grow -- imaginatively, physically, morally and mentally-fairly priced products that are fun, safe and socially sound.

David Hallmark founded Googolplex Games in the Spring of 2003. The first in an upcoming line of products is the Googolplex Game. Each game is handcrafted of wood and is suitable for display in addition to a great game for the family.
