VMSL Releases new Flagship Telemetry Product VMSL has announced the availability of its new Wireless Telemetry device for the Vending Industry, dubbed the VIU300. VMSL has the largest installed base of Vending Telemetry devices in the world, while its predictive fulfillment management software is licensed for use with 150,000 vending machines. WELLINGTON, New Zealand (PRWEB) July 16, 2004 -- The VIU300 draws a new line in the sand, with a major leap in processing power and memory capacity, extra expansion options including a USB port and a new compact design that is one-third the size of previous models. The VIU300 is the 4th generation of vending telemetry devices released by VMSL, gaining from technology advancement and cumulative refinement; the VIU300 is the first choice, best in class product for the wireless age.

The VIU300 will be able to deliver its DEX data directly over the internet using GSM/GPRS to any web server to provide greater flexibility in choice over processing the collected data, it is also able to use VMSLs unique compression technology to significantly reduce communications costs." said Mr Bauer. The global GSM/GPRS network carries more than 70% of the worlds wireless traffic and, with more than 1 billion connections worldwide, has emerged as the global standard for telemetry.
The VIU300 also supports concepts such as polling the vending machine over the Internet to deliver the ultimate in long-range curbside polling solutions. The marginal cost per poll could be as little as 1 cent or even free in some cases.
Most vending operations are likely to choose to operate the VIU300 with VMSLs own comprehensive fulfillment software, Vendware, and its VSeTool® handheld software, but providing customers with the flexibility to choose the right combination of products for their needs has been an important consideration in the products development.
