ELMSFORD, NY (PRWEB) July 16, 2004 -- InfoValue Computing, Inc. (InfoValue"), experts in broadband video streaming, today announced the availability of InfoValue QuickVideo Probe (QVProbe) for monitoring/diagnosing the quality of video multicast and assuring the service level of large scale deployments. QVProbe provides comprehensive functions, such as statistics gathering, quality analysis, and alert reporting, among others. Enterprise and service providers can implement and manage video multicast of any scale with less complexity and lower total cost of ownership.

QVProbe is the newest addition to the award winning QuickVideo suite of streaming products. Consistent with its sister products, e.g., QuickVideo OnDemand and QuickVideo Multicast, QVProbe supports standard video formats, such as MPEG1 Program Stream, MPEG2 Program Stream/Transport Stream, and MPEG4.

With QVProbe deployed throughout the network infrastructure for 24/7 monitoring, an administrator can use a remote browser-based graphical console to quickly zoom into any network segment to conduct detailed analysis, or zoom out to do broad scope health monitoring. An example of many advanced features of QVProbe is the capability of remotely capturing a segment of multicast video for high fidelity post mortem analysis.

With its unique capability of uncovering unexpected network characteristics, QVProbe is an ideal tool to enhance and improve the quality and reliability of any large-scale deployment of video multicast.

"Multicast of real-time high quality video is arguably the most demanding network application, sensitive to many transient network glitches, even those 'very small ones that usually are not reflected in the performance measurements of a service level agreement. A new generation monitoring and diagnosis tool is crucial in assisting enterprises and service providers to assure the quality of their installations. We are excited to deliver QVProbe to help our customers reducing the complexity and simultaneously increasing the quality of their deployments," said Monsong Chen, President and CEO of InfoValue.
