Burnsville, MN (PRWEB) July 18, 2004 -- This is a free festival sponsored by area businesses.

Event: 1st Annual Burnsville Art and All that Jazz Festival

When: Saturday August 21st Noon -- 9PM

Where: Nicollet Commons Park located in "The Heart Of The City" on Nicollet Ave south between Highway 13 and the Burnsville Parkway in beautiful Downtown Burnsville.

This free event is being sponsored by Allstates WorldCargo, Ames Construction, Dodge of Burnsville, Linvill Properties, Smooth Jazz 100.3 and the Recreation Department for the City of Burnsville. A non-perishable food or paper item to benefit the Community Action Council is requested for admittance, but not required. The Burnsville Women of Today will operate the beverage tent with some of the proceeds to benefit the Garage, a teen center in Burnsville. We will have several artists displaying their craft and six Jazz groups that will perform throughout the day. We still have a few food and art vendor spaces available. The following is the entertainment schedule for this event.

Noon -- 1PM Starting Point (Dynamic high energy Jazz with a hint of fusion and funk) Smooth Jazz 100.3 house band finalist

1:30 -- 2:30 Chill 7 ( Original / Straight ahead / Progressive Jazz)

3:00 -- 4:00 Kico Rangel ( Latin Jazz)

4:30 -- 5:30 Rare Medium

6:00 -- 7:00 Titans of Tenor Sax ( featuring Dave Karr and Gary Berg)

7:30 -- 9:00 Jaca Gereau and Baby Moses ( Winner 1989 Minnesota Music awards Jazz Album of the Year, featuring Lilla Ammons)

The Nicollet Commons Park is Burnsville's newest gathering place for events and everyday leisure. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, your family and friends for a day of music, art, great food and friendship.
