The Six Most Important Powers Women Must Use to Stay Young There are at least six critical powers that every woman must know how to use to stay young and get the most out life regardless of age. (PRWEB) July 21, 2004 -- Every woman should know how to incorporate these six female age-defying powers into daily living:
1. Control the aging process. Smart women know that seventy percent of the aging process is controllable. They dont buy into societys controlling model for the aging process; instead, they live seamlessly in constant growth, defying convention and outdated traditions and customs that result in premature, debilitated old age. Smart women decide how old they are going to be no matter how old they actually are.
2. Live your functional age. Are you 70 but look, feel and move like a 50-year old? Live 50! Smart women ignore chronological age and do not allow it to control or define how they live, think or behave. Smart women dont allow chronological age to affect or influence relationships, whether business or personal.
3. Take action to prolong the health and longevity of you and your partner. (But only if hes a worth the effort!) The male ego often prevents men from using age-defying tactics. They wont even ask for directions when lost! Then one day they wake up and discover theyve lost it all. (By age 60 men have lost 60 percent of testosterone they had at age 20.)Quality older men are in short supply. Women can keep their guys younger longer by using smart strategies to keep them from becoming stereotypical grumpy old men. Smart women wield their power with men with intelligence and generosity.
4. Control your destiny. By age 50, smart women have a plan in place for a healthy, productive second life at retirement age because they know they will probably live to 100 or more. In 1950, there were a mere 2,300 centenarians. Today, there are over 40,000. by 2050 there will be close to one million people 100 years of age or older. Smart women maximize their future by building their health early on.
5. Avoid the ultimate social disease. No, its not sexually transmitted, its worse than that -- its self-inflicted, and its called retirement. Once you internalize that you are no longer productive, that you no longer have goals, decline sets in rapidly. Everything slows -- movement, reaction time, thinking, walking, talking. The mind and body go into a shutdown mode in preparation for the final event. Smart women rewire instead of retire.
6. Control the symptoms of aging. Prevent and correct indicators of oldness: a slow shuffling gait, poor posture, unattractive teeth, and uncorrected hearing loss. Invest time, effort, and money where it matters: Walk on a treadmill daily to maintain a youthful gait, cardiovascular fitness and weight control. Get on an anti-aging diet, stretch and lift weights to build muscle and bone to stay strong and upright. Smart women manage how they change with age.
Is that all? Not by a long shot, but this is the minimum. These are just a few of the life changing tactics covered by Barbara Morris in her book, Put Old on Hold $14.95 available at bookstores, online, toll free 1-888-254-5368, or from Image F/X Publications in Escondido, California.
