Collectible Doll Maker Authors Novel -- Ohio native writes heart-warming childrens book that many say combines charm of Charlottes Web with magic of Harry Potter.

Publisher Moo Press of Warwick, New York announces October release of new novel, Aidan of Oren, a warm-hearted adventure story for children of all ages. Author is Alan St. Jean, founder of Oren Village, a collectible doll company in Ohio.

Warwick, NY (PRWEB) July 23, 2004 -- Publisher Moo Press of Warwick, NY announced today the October 2004 publication of Aidan of Oren: The Journey Begins by Alan St. Jean with illustrations by award-winning artist Judith Friedman.

What makes this book unique is the amazing story of how the American dream still lives on today and fuels our economy. A storyteller since he was a young boy, Alan St. Jean turned his passion for using stories to entertain and teach into a novel for children ages 7-12. Alan explains, I just wanted to write a story that I would enjoy reading when I was a kid. A story about destiny, wrapped in mystery, and anchored by the unbreakable bonds of true friendship."

After solidifying his novel, Alan found a publisher in Moo Press, a then one-year young company founded by Diane Tinney, an entrepreneur with a dream of being the little Random House that could. A year later, Moo Press is a thriving business with six books and four more in the works. Moo Press prides itself on only using USA based printers saying, Our company policy is to put Americans to work first."

Meanwhile in Ohio, Alan St. Jean pursued a dream of his own and formed his own collectible doll company, aptly named, Oren Village. Using the characters in his novel as the basis for his first line of dolls, Alan shared his ideas with award-winning doll artist Maryanne Oldenburg. What do you get when an author meets a doll artist? Dolls come to life and a whole new world of wonder and imagination opens up for all ages.

Aidan of Oren has the right combination of 'old world dialogue and chapter-ending cliff hangers that feed a childs inquisitive nature," says 3rd grade teacher Michelle Duncan from Ohio; my students cant wait for the sequel." Nayda Rondon of Dolls Magazine calls Aidan of Oren engaging and entertaining; its a magical adventure from beginning to end. A really fun read!" Librarian Steven Midthun of Milwaukee, WI comments that St. Jeans book moves along nicely and will be well received by young readers who are beginning to enjoy book-length fantasy stories."

And so, from talent, hard work, and dreams, America has more jobs and our children a new classic or perhaps a collectible to enjoy for many lifetimes to come.
