IDAAN, Panama's Institute for National Water Supply and Sewerage Systems, has selected Haestad Methods' water distribution and sanitary sewer modeling software for application in a major project in Panama.

Highlights of the project include:

- Constructing a new water treatment plant with a production of 12 million gallons per day

- Repairing and replacing pipes, valves, hydrants, and accessories

- Constructing a new distribution network in eastern Panama

- Implementing a SCADA system to control the entire network

- Constructing a new water intake and 6.25-mile (4-km), 25-inch (600-mm)
