Former URAC executive partners with CynergisTek, an infomration security consulting firm, to act as Compliance Solutions Partner and Healthcare Security Subject Matter Expert.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) July 25, 2004 -- CynergisTek, Inc., a leader in information security solutions, announced today that Lisa Gallagher, former Senior Vice President, Health Information Technology at URAC, a healthcare accreditation body, will be working with the firm as a Compliance Solutions Partner and Healthcare Security Subject Matter Expert. Ms. Gallagher has over 20 years of professional experience in systems security engineering to include security analysis, security certification and accreditation standards development, security engineering process definition, and the creation of a capability maturity model for security engineering.

During her tenure with URAC, Ms. Gallagher completed the successful integration of three new IT accreditation programs, Health Web Site, HIPAA Privacy, and HIPAA Security, into company operations. Ms. Gallagher currently serves as an Expert Advisor to the Health Sector Coordinating Council (HSCC). The HSCC serves as the designated healthcare industry representative body, and coordinates with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to implement critical infrastructure security planning and analysis activities for the healthcare sector in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-7).
