The Hazelnutstore.com idea was born on the way back from a trip to the Oregon coast in which I stopped at a hazelnut orchard and tried many wonderful hazelnut products. I then decided a web based hazelnut store was needed.

Hazelnutstore.com was founded in July of 2004 by Graham a resident of Portland, Oregon. Graham grew up in Florida and had never had a hazelnut until moving to Oregon four years ago.

I then decided a web based hazelnut store was needed since one did not exist. So hazelnutstore.com was born.

Hazelnutstore.com was founded in July of 2004 by Graham a resident of Portland, Oregon. Graham grew up in Florida and had never had a hazelnut until moving to Oregon four years ago. He instantly feel in love with the raw hazelnuts he was buying from the orchard on the way home from surfing at the Oregon coast. Soon Graham was buying hazelnut chocolate, spreads, pancake mix, and flavored hazelnuts. It was in June of 2004 he started looking on the web for hazelnut products and came up short of one good sight to get multiple hazelnut products or unique ones. The idea was born and executed in two weeks and hazelnutstore.com was open for business.

As in any niche market or product finding people seemed difficult at first, but soon people started coming out of the orchard and into the store. The most popular items so far have been the hazelnut pancake mix with the hazelnut honey spread. In the future Graham hopes to offer gift baskets, books, and a chocolate club. Until then enjoy a hazelnut.
