Rockin' Moms: A New Website is Launched for Moms Making Music

Rockin' Moms (http://www.rockinmoms.com) is a new opportunity for mothers making music. The mission of Rockin' Moms is to acknowledge, promote and serve as an informational tool for Rockin' Moms at all levels of their music careers while celebrating their creativity as mothers and musicians.

Rockin' Moms was founded in July, 2004 by California Singer-Songwriter-Mom, Tiffany Petrossi (http://www.tiffanypetrossi.com). Inspired by her own experiences and those voiced by other Rockin' Moms. Tiffany, a mother of two, has high hopes for the project. According to Petrossi, "The response so far has been a success. It is an area of woman's music that has been underexposed. I was surprised to learn that there are so many Rockin' Moms out there." Rockin' Moms will strive to create a space that will acknowledge and promote the talents of Rockin' Moms all over the world.

Rockin Moms (http://www.rockinmoms.com) is in its beginning stages and currently consists of Rockin' Moms from all across the country. The website showcases their talents by listing their artist/band names, news, and tips. Rockin Moms also assists in connecting them with other Rockin' Moms and other Rockin'Mom supporters (this includes all genders, kids/no kids) through their online Yahoo email group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rockinmoms and site http://www.rockinmoms.com.

When asked what her goals were for the future of Rockin' Moms Tiffany replied, "The future opportunities are endless, they range from high profile Rockin' Mom music events, to an inspiration that a mother may get to pick up her instrument or to begin singing again. Whether or not these mothers are making a career in music is not the point. The idea is to raise awareness and highlight the successes of those mothers that keep their passion for music, however large or small, a part of their life, while embracing the rewards and challenges of motherhood.
