Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) August 3, 2004 -- LinuxQuestions.org (http://www.linuxquestions.org) is proud to announce a new addition to its network of sites - LQ ISO (http://iso.linuxquestions.org/). The site offers an easy and effective solution for people trying to locate and download their desired Linux distributions by helping them find HTTP, FTP and BitTorrent downloads. After a user has used a download site they can return to LQ ISO and rate the speed of the mirror from their country, giving other users help in finding a fast mirror from anywhere in the world.

Although the site is prepopulated with many popular distributions, users will be able to make recommendations on additional distributions they feel should be added. To help answer questions on the various distributions being offered for download, the site is also integrated with the LinuxQuestions.org distribution reviews section (http://www.linuxquestions.org/reviews) and the LinuxQuestions.org distribution forums (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/f5). Essentially, the goal for LQ ISO is to become a central location where users can find any distribution available by any download protocol.

"We have been helping people learn Linux for over four years and are happy to be able to offer users the ability to easily find a fast place to freely download their desired distributions", said site founder Jeremy Garcia.

LinuxQuestions.org is a free, friendly and active Linux Community with over 100,000 members.
