New Cystitis Cure Makes Waves Doctors in UK beginning to accept new cystitis treatment after initial resistance. Results driven response after conventional medicine fails patients. York, UK (PRWEB) August 5, 2004 -- Sweet Cures, reports a 400% increase on sales over the last 6 months for their new concept cure for E.coli type bladder infections and UTI's. The cure, Waterfall D-Mannose, is a natural biologically-active extract of fermented larch wood.
John Bremner, one of the partners in the business says that recommendations from doctors are partially responsible for the sales boom. "Doctors were initially skeptical about the product, but they are listening to patients, and we are now getting more personal enquiries from doctors who want to know the specifics of how Waterfall D-Mannose works, and some of them are ordering the product. We recently, for example, had a doctor ordering for his wife, because he doesn't like giving her antibiotics."
In addition, John noted that some customers of both sexes are coming to them after Waterfall D-Mannose has been recommended by their doctors. "It's a step in the right direction," he says.
Unlike antibiotics, Waterfall D-Mannose does not kill the E.coli. Instead, it causes E.coli to lose its adhesion to the lining of the bladder and urinary tract by the simple process of occupying the mannose receptors on the tiny molecular hairs (fimbria with lectins) that E.coli uses to attach to tissue. The troublesome bacteria are then flushed away by normal urination.
Anna Sawkins, the other partner in Sweet Cures, comments, "It is the very simplicity of the process that caused the initial skepticism. After all, D-Mannose is an isomer of glucose, and as such, it is a simple sugar. Doctors thought, 'How can taking a simple sugar have any effect?' But the results patients are having has driven the interest of the medical profession. Patients come to us with antibiotic resistant infections, and they are going back to their doctors and telling them about this cure."
Sweet Cures reports an extraordinary success rate of close to 100% for E.coli-based infections, and because Waterfall D-Mannose is not metabolized by the body to any great extent, (it passes almost entirely into the urine within an hour) it is safe for diabetics, pregnant women, and young children, and is also safe and effective as a long-term preventative.
"I've been critical of doctors in the past," John Bremner admitted, "but they are often critical of alternative remedies without even taking the trouble to find out if they work or not, while they accept conventional medicines that don't work for a lot of people, and often do as much harm as good. However, I've had to revise my opinion of some doctors. It is heartening to know that there are some real thinkers out there, who want a long term solution that doesn't have unwanted side effects. It's not just that they are scared of litigation from patients damaged by antibiotics they've prescribed. They really do want to help their patients, and they are fascinated by how much we know about this subject."
