Zen Internets customers avoid BTs price hike

Business users of Zen Internets ADSL broadband services can breathe a sigh of relief as the Internet Service Provider (ISP) has today announced that in spite of BT increasing its wholesale prices to ISPs, Zen will not be increasing its prices to customers.

(PRWEB) August 12, 2004 -- Business users of Zen Internets ADSL broadband services can breathe a sigh of relief as the Internet Service Provider (ISP) has today announced that in spite of BT increasing its wholesale prices to ISPs, Zen will not be increasing its prices to customers.

This price hike has come as a total surprise to the ISP community and will see BT raise the price of the monthly rental of its IPStream Office range by up to 32 per cent. BT has said that it is introducing this rise after reviewing its BT IPStream product portfolio and to meet its regulatory obligations. The price increase will come into effect on the 1st September 2004.

Commenting on the increase, Richard Tang, managing director, Zen Internet said:

Although BTs wholesale price increase has come as a surprise to us and other ISPs targeting the SME market place, it will not result in any price increases for our customers. We will continue to offer our customers a first class service at no extra cost."

Zen Internet has always made a conscious decision to keep its costs at a steady rate so as not to compromise its levels of service and offer its customer good value for money. The ISP is so confident in its service levels that unlike many ISPs, it offers its customers a one-month contract period.

Zen has a range of products aimed at business users. This includes ZenADSL Office 500, the companys most popular and affordable business ADSL solution with a 512Kbps download speed; ZenADSL Office 1000, a mid-range solution with a 1Mbps download speed; and ZenADSL Office 2000 offering a download speed of 2Mbps.
