Teen media maven Anastasia Goodstein has launched Ypulse.com, an independent blog that provides daily news & commentary about Generation Y for media and marketing professionals.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 17, 2004 -- Launched in May 2004, Ypulse is an independent blog for teen/youth media and marketing professionals providing daily news, commentary and resources on: commercial teen media (teen magazines and websites), entertainment for teens (movies, games, television, music), technology used by teens (cell phones, pagers, instant messaging), the news media's desire to attract teens (newspapers, cable news), marketing and advertising (targeting the teen market, coolhunting) and civic youth media (highlighting organizations efforts at promoting youth voices in media).

"Ypulse is really a crossroads where commercial teen media makers and marketers intersect with (and hopefully interact with) civic youth culture (non-profits, schools and teens creating their own media)," says founder Anastasia Goodstein. About the founder

With a masters degree in journalism from Northwestern Universitys Medill School of Journalism, Anastasia Goodstein has over seven years experience working for both print and online media. She began her career working for Teen Voices magazine, a non-profit publication written by and for teen girls. She later worked for Trackers, Oxygen Medias former TV and Web program targeting girls; Kibu, a former online destination for teen girls; AOL Web Properties, running the TV and Movies channels; and is currently an editorial manager at KeepMedia, a new paid content service funded by WebVan founder Louis Borders.
