Canadians Show Strong Interest in Owning Recreational Real Estate, says Harris/Decima Study

Speaking to a group of offshore investors and representatives from the Caribbean media, John Collins, President of MonCasa Capital emphasized that the "mid to long term fundamentals of the leisure real estate market still remain strong".

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) October 19, 2008 -- "The recent Harris/Decima study released at the end of September '08 clearly indicates the Canadian demand for second home lifestyle properties is there and is at the start of a 15 year purchase cycle, being fuelled by boomers desire to re-invent their retirement lifestyle wants" said Collins.

MonCasa Capital believes that the economic events of the last few months have not hurt its business model. "We are now in a position to complete the second round of real estate acquisitions - with much better terms, due in part to the swoon in real estate prices across the region" said Michael Crunkhorn, MonCasa Capital Co-Founder and chief strategic officer.

"Quite frankly, we are excited about our future. We are the only Canadian company in this space focused on bringing to market a Caribbean Equity based Destination Club."

Beginning this fall and over the next 5 years MonCasa Capital will assemble 80 properties across 20 islands in a unique equity destination club model. MonCasa Private Club Residences (www.clubmoncasa.com) is being launched to its group of private investors, family and friends with 52 founder's memberships now available. Each membership includes special founder's

privileges with a 100% refund policy which reduces risk and provides greater affordability benefits.
