AA Designers Will Showcase the "Ultimate Video Game Room" at NeoCon-East

FocusOnDesign will partner with NeoCon-East to showcase the "Ultimate Video Game Room" at the Baltimore Convention Center, October 6-7, 2004.

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) August 24, 2004 -- On October 6-9, 2004, FocusOnDesign will exhibit the "Ultimate Video Game Room" (UVGR) at NeoCon East, a celebration of interior design, architecture and facilities management for the Mid-Atlantic region. The UVGR will be designed by an award-winning African-American interior designer, will feature cutting edge gaming entertainment technology and the latest in creature comforts using the urban aesthetic.

FocusOnDesign is a collaboration of top African-American designers representing more than 10,000 members from a broad spectrum of design disciplines. Their vision is "to create a more culturally conscious and sensitive design community, to expand the horizons and influences of the designer, to seek out and explore new directions in design, to introduce cutting-edge ideas and technologies into the design professions, and to pursue innovative solutions to meet member partners' common goals."

For the second year in a row, FocusOnDesign will partner with NeoCon East and will showcase the "Ultimate Video Game Room." The UVGR will blend state-of-the-art entertainment technology and state-of-the-art design with creature comfort to create the ideal setting for the serious gamer. The UVGR will be one of many highlights during the NeoCon East conference, which will also feature professional design workshops, seminars, and technology exhibits. The UVGR will be showcase to more than 7,000 attendees at NeoCon East in Baltimore, MD on October 6-7. Entertainment technology sponsors still have an opportunity to show their products during this one-of-a-kind exhibit.

On October 9th, the conference attendees will also participate in a one-day Digital Arts Technology Symposium (DATS) entitled "Overdrive -Shift Your Career into High Gear." DATS will present a unique group of digital media and video game experts to explore trends, opportunities and new design technology as part of this fourth annual conference. It will include product workshops, lectures, panel discussions and a state-of-the-art game room.

The conference/symposium is a one-of-a-kind gathering of top African-American web designers, interior and product designers, architects, graphic artists, filmmakers, video and PC gaming industry executives and aspiring college students from around the country.
