(PRWEB) August 25, 2004 -- Terrence Tallen, Co-Chairman & CEO of Tallen & Keshen Holdings and Retail Enterprise Group, Inc. announced today that Babies R Us Superstore has signed a long-term lease at the Gateway Marin Retail Center in Marin City, CA, kicking off the strategic re-positioning and redevelopment plan for the project, anchored by Best Buy, Ross Dress for Less, Longs Drug Store and Outback Steakhouse.
Babies R Us has entered into a long term lease and is taking the space currently occupied by Linens N Things (LNT), as we successfully negotiated a lease termination with LNT in order to make room for the Babies R Us Superstore opening in the Spring of 2005", comments Tallen, who conducted the negotiations with both Tenants and is the co-developer spearheading the re-development of the 182,000 square foot shopping center. This is one of the first Babies R Us stores in Northern California and will bring an expanded shopper base to the project from throughout Marin and Sonoma Counties as well as the Marina district in San Francisco," Tallen further commented.
The Gateway Marin Retail Center was recently awarded the 2004 San Francisco Business Times Retail Sale of the Year Award for the innovative acquisition structure conceptualized by Terrence Tallen, Tallen & Keshen Holdings and the advisor to the Marin City Municipality, Mr. Walter Ross, in marrying" the long term benefit of project ownership for the residents of Marin City with the capital and performance of Bay Area Smart Growth and Pacific Coast Capital Partners.
