(PRWEB) August 30, 2004 -- WMEC L.A. has partnered with Brilliant Entertainment to bring the West Coast Music Executive Conference Summit to the Midwest.

WMEC is seeking all Rock, Rap, Jazz, pop and R&B /Soul singers, as well as female models, from IL, KY, MI, IN, OH, to attend. Publishing, record label, and video casting executives will be in Indianapolis to locate and possibly sign talent to label contracts and development deals.

WMEC will bring the best and brightest executives in the music industry to discuss the most critical issues impacting the livelihood of the industry. The Summits events agenda includes Understanding the Music Business, promoting yourself, how to prepare demo packages and copywriting your music. Label executives, A&R specialists and publishing executives will answer questions regarding the realities of entering the music business.

Registration for the event is $99 for a one-day pass. Students can attend at the discounted rate of $89 for a one-day pass. Applicants that apply in advance will receive the opportunity to be 1 of 20 individuals to perform live at the industry showcase. One day pass also includes automatic entry to win 2 tickets/hotel /airfare to the 2005 MTV Video awards or Soul Train music Awards and admission to the celebrity after party hosted by model/actress Vida Guerra after the conference.
