Odyssey Communications Announces Customer-Friendly Pricing Odyssey Communications announced a new flat-rate for repairs to most two-way radios. The $119 rate, which includes return shipping from their national repair facility, is effective August 15, 2004. (PRWEB) August 30, 2004 -- Two-way radio users are raving about the new repair pricing offered by Odyssey Communications. Weve simplified & lowered our repair rates" says Bill Richards, President of the customer-friendly company based in Naples, Florida. Our customers tell us speed is the number one priority for them so we designed a repair process to meet that request."
The new program charges the customer a flat $119 per repair and includes free return shipping from the Odyssey Communications Repair Facility.
Two-way radios have traditionally been repaired under a time plus materials" pricing structure. Customers are often quoted an hourly rate plus parts for a repair to a portable or mobile two-way radio.
The beauty of the new repair program, according to Richards, is that there is no need for customers to get an estimate for the cost of a repair. He says that part of the old process could take hours, even days in some cases, slowing down the return time.
In many cases, customers have to make contact with a two-way company to get the estimate. Then they were informed that in addition to the hourly labor rate they were looking at a substantial charge for parts. Customers would then have to take that information to their managers before getting a decision to go ahead with the repair. That process is a big waste of everyones time," says Richards. Under the new program, our customers know the total cost of their order up front; $119 total per radio. Thats it. No surprises."
Odyssey started a flat-rate repair program in September 2003. The difference now is that there is only one rate of $119 whereas the original program had different levels or categories. Depending on the make and model, repair rates stretched from a low of $109 per radio to as high as $169 including return shipping.
According to Richards, People are busy doing their jobs and when two-way radios are part of that job, we want Odyssey Communications to be the place they go for quick, hassle-free help".
