The Bruce Hubbard Band returns to NYC. The Bruce Hubbard Band returns to NYC. This right wing rocker returns to the Big Apple for on September 15 at the Lizard Lounge in Mid-Town. (PRWEB) September 10, 2004 -- The Bruce Hubbard band returns to NYC on September 15th at The Lizard Lounge (240 W 54th St.)in mid-town at 8PM. This band is a must see for anyone who loves well crafted pop-rock n' roll. Their finely tuned harmonies and energetic live performance will satisfy your need for great live music, and send you off with a song you can't get out of your head.
But what makes this band unique is their decidely right wing front man Bruce (obviously no relation to Springsteen). During a time of protests and the RNC coming to town it is a breathe of fresh air to hear a band that does not bash the President or the American Soldier.
Bruce's song "Black Nostalgia" speaks of the tragedy of the return of his brother from the battle field of Iraq. The song delves into the harsh realities of war, but somehow leaves the listener with the feeling of hope and pride in one's country.
The Bruce Hubbard Band's music is bursting with great lyrics and insiteful messages like the one's found in "Balck Nostalgia". Make sure to check them out while they swing through town. Unless of course your too busy protesting.
