Laura Baughman devotes her practice to complex environmental litigation with a focus on representing water authorities and municipalities that have experienced contamination of their water supplies by MTBE and other toxic substances. She has also represented plaintiffs with injuries caused by exposure to asbestos, lead, latex, and other toxic chemicals. She was recently part of a legal team representing a nonprofit environmental health organization that reached a landmark settlement compelling the oil industry to clean up more than 1,000 underground storage tanks and refinery leaks in California. A graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Laura also holds a masters degree in civil engineering. She is licensed in Texas and New York.
