Health Classes in Columbus Available from Central Ohio Hospital Group OhioHealth announces support group programs for holiday depression and other health and wellness programs in central Ohio which will be available in November. Columbus, OH (PRWEB) November 21, 2008 -- OhioHealth, the family of not-for-profit, faith-based hospitals and healthcare organizations in central Ohio, is announcing the following wellness programs and support group meetings which will be available in November. These health classes (http://www.ohiohealth.com/) and support group meetings will be available at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Grant Medical Center, Doctors Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital and Dublin Methodist Hospital with costs ranging from free to 80 dollars. Pre-registration is required for all heath classes.
One of the several areas of focus for these health classes in Columbus is parenting classes. These range from maternity and childbirth classes to childcare and parenting classes (http://www.ohiohealth.com/landing.cfm?id=51). For instance, classes about Fun Eating for Families with Babies will be held on November 17th and 24th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. These classes will be held at the Elizabeth Blackwell Center (http://www.ohiohealth.com/bodyriverside.cfm?id=365), 3635 Olentangy River Road. The cost for these sessions is $30.
Additionally, OhioHealth will be offering a series of special classes for those who deal with holiday depression (http://www.ohiohealth.com/bodymayo.cfm?id=6&action=detail&ref=1868). These holiday classes include Survival Strategies for Holiday Stress and Dealing with Holidays and Special Days. Holidays can often be difficult for those who have recently experienced a loss or the death of a loved one. OhioHealth will offer suggestions to help cope with these difficult situations. The class session for Dealing with Holidays and Special Days will be offered on Monday, November 10th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. This session will be held free of charge at the Kobacker House (http://ohiohealth.com/body.cfm?id=109), 3595 Olentangy River Road.
There will also be several sessions targeted at both men and women who are looking for ways to improve their mind and body fitness. These classes will feature several relaxation and fitness classes, including sessions for those looking for yoga classes in central Ohio. These Noon Relaxation and Yoga sessions will take place on Wednesdays from November 12th through December 17th. The sessions will last from noon to 1:15 p.m. and will cost $60.
Finally, OhioHealth will be providing additional health classes for those individuals who are battling illness. This includes a Look Better, Feel Better class for women who are being treated for cancer. This class session aims to give hope, confidence and empowerment to these women who have conquered so much already.
