At the age of 15, Bradley began working for many promotions in the north east, NWA/CWA, Ringside Wrestling, ECWA, UCW, NEW and many more local organizations. At the time Steve was best known for becoming the 1999 ECWA "Super-8" Tournament winner. Bradley continued to travel the east coast on the independent wrestling circuit until 1998 when he signed a 3 year contract with the World Wrestling Federation (WWE).
In July 2002, after the purchase of WCW by the WWE and a sharp drop in WWE revenue, Steve Bradley was released on good terms from his WWE contract. Steve then founded the Top Rope Pro Wrestling Academy in hopes of passing on the immeasurable experience and wisdom he has gained to the future superstars of the wrestling industry and created the Wrestling Federation of America to showcase the talent of his students.
